LOL
Have you ever had a cat that was afraid of something weird?
Most of the cats I have had, were afraid of bananas......
I would chase them around the house with the banana, just to hear them hiss like crazy, soooooo funny.........
Most I know of, are afraid of vacuums, ofcourse, and brooms too..........

Fri, October 7, 2005 - 9:59 AMOMG my meezer is terrified of bananas. If I pull one out, she runs off and hides under the bed. I have no idea why. I have a friend whose cat loves to eat bananas.

Re: afraid of bananas
Thu, June 8, 2006 - 12:26 PMMy white cat, Akasha, is scared of balloons also! I've had other cats who used to grab the ribbon on the balloon and pull the balloon around the house. I used to get the cats a balloon as a present on special occasions (supervising, of course, to make sure they didn't eat the ribbon.) I had to stop when I got Akasha because she was so spooked by them.

Re: afraid of bananas
Fri, January 6, 2006 - 5:48 PMBut why on earth would you CHASE your cat around the house with a banana, if you know it scares them ??? Would you like them to think you are that awful man with the banana who always ties to scare them on purpose ?? -

Re: afraid of bananas
Wed, June 21, 2006 - 6:43 PMMy theory would be that some breeds of cats are phobic of banana because spiders are often banana bunches.
Maybe.... -

Re: afraid of bananas
Thu, June 22, 2006 - 10:13 AMYeah, I've never known a cat who didn't laugh at spiders. They are, however, perfectly horrified by citrus.

Wed, June 28, 2006 - 10:46 PMdaughter,
Yes cats eat spiders. Another perfectly good hair brained theory blown to hell by the facts.
Damn.
